KEN MELTZER Ken Meltzer is the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s Community
Spokesman, a position he has held since 1994. In that capacity, he authors
the Symphony’s
program notes and serves as host of the pre-concert “Behind the
Notes” lecture
series. Ken is active in the PSO’s outreach and education programs.
He has appeared in concert with the Pittsburgh Symphony as narrator in
Benjamin Britten’s “The Young Person’s Guide to the
Orchestra,” Sergei
Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf,” and Igor Stravinsky’s “A
Soldier’s Tale.” Ken assisted Mariss Jansons in writing the “From
the Maestro” columns that appeared Sundays in the Pittsburgh
Tribune-Review. |
